About Me

Hi! I’m Rosina.

I’m a master educator with 24 years of experience teaching children in grades K-8 in classrooms, small groups, and one-on-one instruction. I taught in public and private schools with students who had a variety of educational differences including but not limited to Dyslexia, ADHD, language disorders, executive functioning issues, and deficits in spelling, fluency, and reading comprehension.

I hold a Master's Degree as a Reading Specialist in New Jersey. As a NJ Certified Reading Specialist and Orton Gillingham Teacher (M.A.-OGT), I have provided personalized, one-on-one reading and spelling instruction to hundreds of dyslexic children and struggling readers of all ages.

I’m certified by the Center for Effective Reading Instruction (CERI) and the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) as a Structured Literacy/Dyslexia Specialist. I earned my certifications through training at the Children's Dyslexia Centers (AASR Northern Masonic Jurisdiction) and Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Orton Gillingham Dyslexia Specialist training course which is accredited through the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC).

Additional Orton Gillingham training was received through the Brainspring Phonics First Program and Visualizing/Verbalizing through Lindamood-Bell for improving reading comprehension.

Now retired from teaching in the classroom, I enjoy working as a personalized reading specialist for children of all ages.
